MFI USA- Conferences & Affiliation
Annually, on Monday (starting with Dinner) through to Friday (finishing with Fellowship breakfast) in the first week of October, any MFI Senior Minister member from around the world, may apply to register and attend this inspiring, Holy Spirit presence enriched, global conference. It is held at Red Lion on the River Hotel, in MFI’s International home city of Portland, Oregon, USA.
This awesome conference is attended by approximately 900 Senior ministers, with some of these bringing their key ministry team members, from 48 nations across the world every year. Much equipping and edifying happens there through times of refreshing in worship, prayer & great times of sharing in ‘round the world’ fellowship at meal tables… in between powerful Bible teaching main sessions, in both the mornings and evenings, and at any of 36 exciting teaching electives which are ministered by many key apostolic MFI ministers from among the nations… and these are held first thing on the mornings with real inspiration and encouragement for all who make it there.
It is truly awe-inspiring and gives us much cause for thanksgiving to the Lord, to be in a fellowship of ministers who continually give out and build into others in the ministry there because of their love for Jesus Christ, and His church worldwide, having a hunger for God’s word, and receiving a refreshing, empowerment of the Holy Spirit, in and for our local churches, which in many cases are growing stronger and larger in nations all over the world. To hear the heartfelt testimonies of International ministers and their churches, growing and overcoming their own various difficulties and testings, becoming firmly established in the different localities… is just so exciting. It is a felt privilege to hear amazing stories of new church planting happening all over USA, Canada, Indonesia, South America & Africa, as well as among the millions of believers in todays progressive China, in the 10/40 window, and in various other so-called third world countries.
As of May 2010 Brother Dick Iverson’s resignation at almost 80 years of age, brought about a Leadership transition. Pastor Frank & Sharon Damazio of CityBible Church, Portland, Oregon USA, have been unanimously elected by the ALT of USA, to become the new International Leaders/Directors of MFI USA. Brother Frank has already given much into MFI over the 23 years under Brother Dick Iverson and has been an active team member on the International Apostolic Leadership Team. There is now a renewed anticipation of a truly robust, healthy future for MFI USA and Internationally, and all are looking to the Lord, for His unfolding and establishing in these exciting days, of this new future and generation in the history of MFI.
